Explore. Dream. Discover !!

February 24, 2012

They say that man has conquered the highest peak but is yet to reach the deepest point on earth.

Did you know that Mount Everest is more than 1 mile shorter than the deepest point in the ocean known as “Challenger Deep” !!! An even more startling fact is that the longest continuous mountain chain known to exist in the universe resides in the ocean and is more than 40,000 miles long !!!!!

One fact that will have my lady readers very interested about the sea is the fact that the world oceans contain nearly 20 million tons of Gold !!!!! :P :P now did I hear someone splash in the sea right away !!!!  :P

Did you know that the oceans contain 99 percent of the living space on the planet. :-O Well, well… so much for such astounding facts and figures. The humble yours truly also made a small discovery. Watch the video of this Sea Slug we managed to spot at Mithapur. The slug moved with more grace, pride and poise than you could have imagined :) :) :)

Like Mark Twain once said :

“Twenty years from now
you will be more disappointed
by the things you didn’t do
than by the ones you did do.

So throw off the bowlines,
sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.

Explore. Dream. Discover.”

- Mark Twain

There is much more to life than I had ever thought is the one fact that I realized during this Marine Camp with Anala Outdoors. The Sea life, the world below the surface of water is much more colourful, lively and beautiful than I had ever imagined. :)
