Yesterday I was swamped in work…… the bad news is this is not even the start of the cotton season and with boss set to return from abroad in a couple of days… the work will keep increasing…
Yesterday I barely managed to check 4-5 posts… !!!! that’s some sort of a record actually inspite of being on the office pc with internet the whole day… !!!
Some news snippets caught my eye and I have been itching to scratch them..… thought I should write about them…

It’s the thought that counts buddy haven’t you heard that saying and will you please open your mind and see that its an example that she is setting… appreciate it !!! This whole exercise also saves our country with a whopping Rs. 7000/- each time she now flies !!!

S.M. Krishna our external affairs minister in view of the austerity drive (read Soniyaji ka example) decided to forego travel by private aircraft when he goes abroad and will go by commercial flights… !!! See… Sonia set a precedent… !!! Thank god for small mercies in this poor country…
Will someone also explain to me why Mr. S. M. Krishna & Mr. Shashi tharoor have been living in 5 & 7 star hotels since the past few weeks in spite of being provided residence by the Govt.??

The line judge should be thankful God doesn’t exist.

Did you know the samosa is not an Indian dish… the word infact comes from Persian word sambosag. Even today a version of the samoda called sambusak is eaten all over the middle east.

Today there is so muc of ENTERTAINMENT in the media (very less information) that you barely get time to focus on other things! But I felt one of the most important news in the past one week was that of Jet! Yeah so they sacked 2 guys, 400 pilots refused to fly, Goyal threatened to close down Jet, Pilots asked him to go ahead, they had a talk, finally the management resolved the issue by reinstating the pilots and, more importantly, slashing 50% ticket price. Competitor flights followed suit though :-P. So I guess every time our FM talks of austerity, these politicians will catch hold of some pilots, make them strike, finally get a chance to fly the business class at the rate of economy – wah wah – kya zamana hai? 😀
Sticking with austerity, I guess we also need to look at the bunglows these beurocrats stay – all worth crores of rupees – not to mention the expenditure on the security!
Coming to Sports, we have seen that most champions are bad losers – Punter for one, Serena and ‘Fedex’ the latest examples.
