Amateur Clicker

Guest Post by Nigam

A few visitors around my home… would love it if you people would help me identify a few of them…. with their names…

.Please click on the pictures to enlarge them and see them at their best !!!

It sits full of grace and pride… wonder what its agenda for the day… a few houseflies perhaps, or a search for a mate πŸ˜‰ ??? Wonder whats its name ??

This cuckoo couple is visibly upset, he has been watching IPL too much and she has just refused to find any more food alone … !!!!  😦

He seems to be on a mobile coaxing his wife to come back from her parents… look how his fingers are spread trying to explain his stand !!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

These strangers wont tell their name… seems they are detective agents pretending to be on an outing… but… a keen eye on the suspect !!!!!

This is the coolest of all… as if wearing glares to protect its eyes from the scorching sun… !!!! 😎 😎

and the prettiest in the pristine colours of nature…. !!!! Doesnt it look smart ????? πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Camera : Nikon D-60

Yeah, some conference decided to change all our mynas to starlings, but… Brahminy Myna it is … I love the turquoise on it’s face… A pair sometimes comes to drink water on my balcony – it’s call is different, we can easily make out it’s them from inside the room πŸ˜†

Lovely pictures! We don’t see house sparrows near our house nowadays.

Red-eyed crow-like bird is Asian koel and the other one is his girl friend! The female looks entirely different in this variety.

thanks Sandhya… yes indeed Sparrows are rare these days… infact we have put a couple of cardboard nests around our trees which are an effort to provide houses for these sparrows which now cant come in the house thanks to mosquito nets !!

The cuckoo’s recognised the flock of those 5 birds are yet to be identified !!! ??
