Just unfortunate

A strange most sad thing happened today, my wife’s colleague lost her husband today due to an accident. She is 34 and her husband was 29, they married against the wishes of their parents last diwali and were not allowed home, they lived by themselves. The guy was Gujarati the girl Punjabi plus 5 years older and above all the girl was Manglik !

This May their parents accepted the wedding and a reception was thrown.

Just today morning the guy met with an accident and died a most unfortunate death, my wife came from the funeral rather drained and more worried if people would blame the stars of the girl !

No, not for one moment I think the stars have anything to do with it, but sometimes I dont know why God is so cruel. 😐

I remember while my dad was searching for proposals for me, he wud insist on looking at only those which had horoscope match. Just so that later on if something happens people should not blame the stars for it.
    Today I understand his concern.

I truly feel for your wife’s colleague. For no fault of hers, not only does she have to live with the fact that her husband is gone forever, she will also have to face the brunt of it from other/family/society – atleast those who believe in it – that not obeying the stars caused it. 😐 May God be with her. RIP her husband’s soul….

So sad that. I dont believe in horoscope and all.
My condolensces to the girl and I hope god gives her the strength and some intelligence to people around her to not put the blame on her. It is not her fault.
Really sad thing to happen god works n evil ways sometimes.

That is so heart-breaking. And the saddest part would be if people make her loss even worse by trying to blame her for it. I can’t understand why God would be so cruel either…Hoping that she has the strength and all the support she needs right now.

Normally, I don’t believe astrology. But these types of coincidences make us think twice.

It is going to be tough on the poor girl. God help her. Hope her family is with her.

Such things make it so difficult to get people to believe that horoscope and stars do not matter!
Hope your wife’s friend remains strong and my heartfelt condolences.

I believe astrology is a science and incidents like this might have been because of whatever the predictions were (one can never be sure with things like this but you cannot rule them out as you tend to wonder)

But even if you assign the reason to astrology it was a decision taken by both the couple to go ahead with marriage and blaming the girl for this would be inappropriate

I’m so sorry….not only willshe have to deal with the trauma but also people talking abt her. And people in India esp the older generation can talk so unfeeling sometimes.
An teenage boy died fr our church died a few week back. Even before the funeral was over people were questioning the mother tht it cant be a normal death, the service held at church was not the usual[people committing suicide are not given proper burial in our strain], where is the post-mortem report, etc….
My heart went out to the poor parents.
