Sleeping in the open

This is a picture of the three puppies that had strayed to our home a couple of weeks back, whilst we fed them and threw a blanket in the compound for them to help them find some warmth, they found more warmth in snuggling into one another.

Sleeping outside in this weather in the winter is something all of us really dread. Some others also slept whole night outside yesterday in our capital, wonder if that was the only way to get what they wanted to be done. Perhaps, the ways to get things done could be debated, not the intentions. I was very distressed and disturbed yesterday, not in full agreement, for a long time these folks have given me hope and I really want to hope they can take one step back, reconsider, regather, refocus and explore all other alternatives a little more.

Coincidentally, I read your post a few minutes after reading the report on AK and others spending the night in the open in Delhi. My thoughts and feelings on this subject match yours.
Many AAP supporters and sympathisers are totally confused. Some have genuine doubts about AK’s intentions.
AAP must not let down the people who consider them the only hope.

AAP is the new Google !

Eric Schmidt , Chairman – Google , was in India a few weeks back

In an interview , he said ,

” It is quite possible that the next Google comes out of India ”

May be he was thinking of AAP !

Because AAP is the new Google

Within months of being launched ( Sept 1998 ) , Google left behind the mighty and powerful , established search engines like Yahoo / MSN ( Bing ) / AOL / Alta Vista / Meta Crawler / Excite / Ask Jeeves etc

In a similar fashion , ONE YEAR old AAP will soon leave behind , the mighty and entrenched political parties of India , such as , Congress / BJP / BSP / SP / TMC / CPI (M) / AIDMK / DMK / BJD / RJD etc

Why is that not only ” possible ” but also highly ” probable ” ?

Just look at what is happening on the streets of Delhi since yesterday morning

Arvind Kejriwal – and his cabinet ministers – are sitting on a ” Dharna ” , near Rail Bhavan – and even sleeping on the footpath !

They are raising their voice and challenging the ” ESTABLISHMENT ” of the corrupt / the criminals / the callous / the Congress

For the first time in the history of independent India , the Ministers are not sitting in their air-conditioned Mahels

They are out in the Mohallas , leading the people , ready to be arrested / lathi-charged / what have you !

Without deviating from their peaceful , non-violent means

They are walking in the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi / Martin Luther King / Nelson Mandela / Dalai Lama

They will teach the oppressed people of the World , how to bring about a change – democratically , without resorting to guns

Nearly 72 years ago , on 9th Aug 1942 , Mahatma Gandhi asked British to ” Quit India ” – peacefully

And gave to the people of India , mantra of ” Karenge ya Marenge ” !

There is a strong possibility that the history may repeat today , outside the Rail Bhavan !

People of India are welcoming the rise of the new GOOGLE in their political sky !

Awww they are super super adorable! Does Hriday go to play with them still?

As for AAP, I’m not giving up on them yet, you know that, Hitchy, dont you? Completely agree with what you’ve said though 🙂

  4. craftyshines says:

I could stare at those 3 all day long!

AAP and the protest, sigh. Just when we think we should breathe a sigh of relief, then make us take sharp breath and hold. Agree with you Hitchu, they must carefully consider their routes towards making their desired changes.

Somehow as time passed and I read more and understood more… I think AAP and AK were right in opposing… and I am glad the three policemen have been sent on leave and now the inquiry can be done independently

    • hitchy says:

Perhaps or not I don’t know… but then its all about the intentions no? I felt Media tried to sabotage the whole thing trying to deflect the focus from the reason to the means!

  5. The Girl Next Door says:

Awwww, they are SO adorable! I do hope they find loving owners and homes soon. So sweet of you to put out blankets for them. 🙂

I have always wanted dogs – I go crazy when I see them, especially little cute puppies like these. 🙂

    • hitchy says:

Arrey we wanted to adopt them… just that my mom wouldnt let them come in the house.. we hoped we could feed them and house them in our garden… but they were already being taken care of in a nearby building and had to be returned after they stayed two days at our house after they had strayed and I led them home
