me ‘tAnSeN

I am a music lover and I love singing.. infact I once did a post on the songs of my life… I have always felt my voice resembles the great singer Mukesh… I dont care if the whole world believes it or not… but I feel strongly and believe in my heart…  and no matter how pathetic people may think I sing… I SING anyways… for myself… for my nirmal anand…

I am constantly humming some or the other tune… 😆 there is rarely a moment when I dont have a song on my lips… after seeing this page at Deeps I was inspired (dont u say I copied) to make such a page of mine too just to let you all know what song is on my mind… I will keep changing tunes and songs… 😀 😀 😀 😀

Song #9

One of the first songs to be slightly racy, raunchy if you would like to call it in the hindi film industry, no wonder its geeta dutt and rafi in this most wonderful duet… just listen to it once and rest assured you hum it for a week !!!!!!

—————————————————-
Song # 8

Sochna Kya Jo Bhi Hoga Dekha Jaayenga from Ghayal…

This is a song I at times use, when my hyper thinking mode gets switched on… I recently realised I am such a fretter… sigh… This is the song on my lips since a few days… and I hope to put it into practice… 🙂 🙂 🙂

————————————————————————————————————————–

Song # 7 Suniye Kahiye from the movie Baaton Baaton mein..

this is another soulful duet that I and my wife both love humming !!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 those days of courtship sigh !!!!

————————————————————————————————————————–

Song # 6

Hum jis raste pe chale us raste pe thi preet khadi… – from the movie Teri Kasam

This song is one of thats special for me and my wife.. ! We used to sing this song a lot while doing updown from Bharuch to Baroda in either Train or Bus ! Those final year college days were amazing !!!!!

Do listen to this lovely lovely romantic number its a very sweet song !

—————————————————————————————————————————

Song # 5 Zeehale muskin makun baranjish bahare hijra bechara dil hai… – from the movie Ghulami

As weird as the early lyrics are which I do not understand still I love humming this song… it comes to my lips avvey hi… !! do listen its a lovely tune … I love these folk music theme songs !!!! 😀

—————————————————————————————————————————
Song # 4 Ab to hai tumse har khusi apni… – Abhimaan

Lata at her magical best… I love the lyrics of this song… Abhimaan is one of the best musical movies ever made… each song very very close to my heart !!! 😀 😀

——————————————————————————————————————————

Song # 3 – ” Jaane woh kaise log the…” from the movie Pyasa.

One of my most favourite singers was Hemant Da… a wonderful voice… !!!! I love this song… and since noon I have been humming it so just had to share… !!! This song is very handy and is frequently used to emotionally blackmail people… !!  😉

————–

Song # 2 – “Do deewane shehar mein…” from the movie GHARONDA.

This is another song that is always on my lips… actually biwi & I started walking today again after a long lay off… and while walking to the park.. biwi just hummed this one line… and I have caught that tune… !!!!

We both love this song and used to sing it so much when we shifted to Indore… !! I love the lyrics… and know this song by heart… (one of the many actually)

Its been beautifully sung by Bhupinder and Runa Laila.. !!

———————

Song # 1 – ” Tere Mere Milan ki yeh raina….” from the movie ABHIMAAN.

This is a tune that almost never leaves my lips… and its a song close to heart… I sang this song a lot for my wife in her pregnancy when she couldnt sleep… !!!! 😀 😀  although the video that is available on you tube is of the sad part… I loved it when Amitabh sings for Jaya in their house just after their marriage on the piano… !!

My favourite lines are :

Nanha sa gul khilenga angna….

sooni baiya sajegi sajna…

jaise khele chanda badal mein…

khelenga woh tere anchal se…

I see you are a Bollywood score lover. Zehaale miskin….original written by Ameer Khursrau has many more versions. The beauty of the lyrics is that Khusrau for the first time had combined persian with the then colloquial Hindi, one of the contributions of Khusrau to music and literature. If you are interested search You Tube with “Huse Jaana Muzaffar Ali”.

Giving you the link as well don’t know whether it’ll work or not…
